Birds roosting, generally pigeons, can be a huge problem for both domestic and commercial properties. They become unsightly and buildings become covered in bird guano and nests. These can also be very damaging to buildings and their fabrication.

As with most pests, birds can carry a range of diseases and pathogens in particular in their droppings so cleaning up must be done by a competent professional.

Prevention is better than cure. Absolute Pest Control can place deterrent systems such as spikes, post and wire systems or nets discreetly on buildings to prevent them landing and ultimately roosting. Removal of nests and chicks prior is essential, and the areas must be fully cleaned and disinfected prior to prevention methods being applied, all within our bird management programs.

We also install solar panel spikes to domestic and commercial properties to protect your solar panels from nesting birds.

We work closely with the building owners and/or structural architects on the type of deterrent to be used to suit the façade and substrates in front of us. This is from grade listed buildings to new modern materials and substrates.

Other methods include trapping and culling treatments, but these are in special circumstances.

We hold iPAF and PASMA and all relevant training such as rope works for working at heights and our in-house truck-mounted cherry picker allows us to work quickly and efficiently to cause minimal disruption to your home or site.
